Times Union, STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK NOTICE TO BIDDERS The State University of New York at Albany will receive sealed Proposals for Project No P-0362 titled Classroom Renovations Phase IV until 2:30 pm local time on October 14, 2014 at the University at Albany, Service Building A, 1400 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12222 room 103, when they will be opened and publicly read. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time. Work of this contract consists of renovation work to convert the Humanities Building theatre into two smart classrooms with a central control room. The classrooms will support general lecture and support technology at the smart room level with the capacity to handle lecture capture. The work will require the removal of an existing concrete stage, installation of new concrete floor slab, acoustic partition install, hazmat abatement, HVAC, electrical and general contracting. Electrical work will also provide pathways for future audio/visual installations. Please note that this project is exempt from the Wicks Law. Work on this Contract is to begin on or about 11/1/2014 and work to be completed by 03/1/2015. A Bid Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
